This week I had the pleasure of joining my colleagues from CRH’s global leadership team on a site visit to Tunstead Quarry and Cement Works. The site is operated by our Tarmac business and is the engine room of CRH’s operational footprint in the UK. Its vast limestone reserves underpin the high-quality aggregates, cement and value-added solutions we provide to road and critical utility infrastructure projects across England, Scotland and Wales. The visit was a good opportunity to meet with some of Tunstead’s talented employees and hear about how innovation and sustainability are shaping the future of the Quarry, ensuring its 100-year tradition continues long into the future.

CRH’s Peter Buckley, President of our Europe Division and colleagues Eunice Heath and Serge Schmidt joined fellow cement and concrete industry leaders from around the world at the GCCA – Global Cement and Concrete Association annual conference in Bangkok, Thailand last week.
