Proper preparation prevents poor performance, or so I believe 😁. Fantastic work executed by all the electrical apprentices here at DDLETB Loughlinstown Training Centre in preparation for their T1 & P1 phase 2 electrical exams next week . Best wishes, just believe in yourself. 😁 Don’t forget to drop out to any of the centres and meet the team if you are considering becoming an electrician 💪😁. Congratulations to Louise on her incredible journey through Further Education & Training, starting with DDLETB's Adult Education Service Blanchardstown, to now pursuing a PhD with Dublin City University! 🎓👏 #LifelongLearning #ddletbFET #Teamddletb #SupportYourLocalETB ThisIsFET
Louise Hassan came to DCU as a mature student through a Further Education pathway, and is now completing her PhD. The Dublin mum credits her local Further Education and Training centre in #Blanchardstown for helping her reach this point. Louise left school at the age of 15 - but decided to return to education when she was in her 40s. 'My second foray into the world of education started in 2014 in Blanchardstown Adult Education Centre, and it was just transformational,' she said. 'Anyone thinking of returning to education should visit their local Education and Training Board college to find out what they can offer.' 'At our graduation, someone from DCU was there to give a talk about further education. That’s when I began thinking, ‘Wow, maybe I could do that’." Louise completed her BA in Theology and English, before doing an MA in Creative Writing. She is currently studying for her PhD and has one more year to go.
