In August 2024, I attended the 74th European Dental Students' Association | EDSA Spring Meeting in Strasbourg, France. As a board member of EDSA, I had the privilege of hosting a Standing Committee on Research in Dental Education and its Connection to AI during the meeting. Additionally, I presented the report on the year’s work. A major highlight was the rebranding era, a project I proposed and developed in collaboration with EDSA’s treasurer at the time, now Supervisory Board member, Max Walsh. Moreover, EDSA hosted a thought-provoking round table discussion titled "Oral Health Professionals: Included or Forgotten.” We were fortunate to have contributions from distinguished speakers, including Dr. Charlotte Heuze from Council of European Dentists/ Les Chirurgiens-Dentistes de France ; Dr. Alexandre DEZA is from the Association dentaire française (ADF); Dr. Michele Aerden, Past President of the FDI World Dental Federation, and Dr. Nathalie DELPHIN from SNCD/OMS. Additionally, we were privileged to have Prof. Brian O'Connell, ADEE President, and Dr. Freddie Sloth-Lisbjerg, CED President, deliver a series of fascinating and interactive lectures. I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Strasbourg Local Organising Committee, whose meticulous planning and execution made this meeting truly unforgettable. I am also deeply grateful to EDSA’s Board, the delegates, and all the dedicated participants who contributed to the success of this event. I am eagerly looking forward to the upcoming 75th EDSA Meeting, which will be held in Coimbra, Portugal.

As my term as Treasurer of the European Dental Students' Association | EDSA comes to an end, I am thrilled to continue contributing to the association in my new role on the Supervisory Board. Serving as Treasurer over the past two years has been a brilliant journey, allowing me to collaborate with passionate colleagues, grow both professionally and personally and represent dental students on an EU level. I am particularly excited to be part of the organising team for the joint EDSA-ADEEorg meeting taking place in Trinity College Dublin in the summer of 2025. Looking forward to a brilliant meeting!

On May 24-25th, our General Secretary, Charlotte Carter, and our Community Manager, Saulė Skinkytė, had the opportunity to represent EDSA at the biannual meeting of the Council of European Dentists in Athens, Greece. During the event, the ongoing EDSA projects, alongside the results of the Dental Education Survey, were presented. As dentistry continues to expand and evolve, student representatives were proactive in presenting more opportunities for young dentists to be involved in crucial decision-making processes early on and exposing them to the bigger picture of providing dental care. #EDSA #DentalStudents #FutureOfDentistry #Athens #CouncilOfEuropeanDentists #DentalEducation #studentinvolvement
