Last week, I completed my time at the Irish Aviation Authority where I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Corporate Affairs and Legal teams. My time at the Irish Aviation Authority has been an unforgettable experience filled with learning, growth, and meaningful connections. I gained invaluable insights, enjoyed every moment, and had the privilege of forming friendships and building relationships with both industry professionals and fellow peers. I want to express my sincere gratitude to my managers, Alec Elliott and Wayne Tyrrell, and my colleagues in both the Corporate Affairs and Legal teams for their mentorship, guidance, and support throughout this experience. As I prepare to return to Dublin City University to pursue my final year of studies in Aviation Management, I am eager to leverage the knowledge I have acquired and contribute positively to the aviation industry as I progress in my career. It was great hosting partners from Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan and Irish Aviation Authority to progress our cooperation aiming to improve safety standards in the republic of Kazakhstan. Dialog on a number of important topics proved once again that the #human dimension is at the core of any business - #safety, #sustainability, etc. Many thanks to Catalin Radu, his team and colleagues from #IAA for taking time and traveling to Cologne. It was great to have so many representatives from our ground handling community, airlines and aerodromes at the Ground Operations Working Group meeting in our Irish Aviation Authority head office today. Key topics discussed were an update on the latest developments around the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency EU Ground Handling regulation. An update from Anthony Prior, IAP of Dublin Airport on the Dublin Airport Safety Stack, and a presentation from An Garda Síochána at Dublin airport on the actions they are taking to support our ground handlers and airlines around the issue of unruly passengers. Thanks to all for your attendance, and particularly to Anthony Prior, Sergeant Valeria Brennan and Inspector Luke Lacey for their informative presentations.
