🎯 A central aspect of the mission of the ISESA is the development of accreditation pathways for Sport and Exercise Scientists in Ireland. 🎯 We are currently working to develop pathways and various forms of accreditation for those working in Exercise Science and in Sport Science and more will be shared as we progress with this work throughout 2024 and 2025.

🧠💪 Coaches & support staff: Your mental health is crucial!  Joshua Frost is a PhD research student at the University of Melbourne.  His research is also affiliated with the Elite Sports and Mental Health Centre at Orygen.  The centre conducts research with athletes, coaches and high-performance support staff to find ways to better support elite athletes. The ISESA will lead, represent, and advance the sport and exercise sciences community through advocacy, knowledge exchange, collaboration, and accreditation.

University College Dublin offers a Masters opportunity, in collaboration with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, dlr Leisure, DLR Sports Partnership, and Active Cities Dublin. The project aims to study sport and physical activity participation in disadvantaged areas and among youth. Dr. Claire Brady works as a Strength and Conditioning Consultant at the Sport Ireland Institute, where she works with Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Her responsibilities include designing and delivering tailored S&C programs, conducting specialist testing in strength and power diagnostics and speed development, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
