Poor hygiene procedures resulted in the closure of eight food businesses across the month of August, according to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland The FSAI has detailed a number of food businesses across Dublin, Limerick, Offaly and Tipperary who were served closure orders in the month of August. Dr Pamela Byrne Chief Executive, FSAI, said: “Food businesses have a legal requirement to ensure the safe supply of food, and it is unacceptable that basic procedures like handwashing, cleaning, robust pest control measures and storing food correctly at the appropriate temperature are not being properly followed.” Dr Pamela advised that “Food businesses must do better” Learn more about the FSAI’s monthly enforcements at www.fsai.ie #FSAI #FoodSafety #ClientNews #Kano #GoBeyond #PR #Communications #ClosureOrders

This year for the Káno Summer Party, we were kindly invited by the Royal St George Yacht Club for a day of boating, setting sail from Dun Laoghaire Harbour, along the coastline of South Dublin and around Dalkey Island. The glorious sunshine set the scene for the day as we learned about the local area, history of each landmark and even saw some dolphins! After soaking in the stunning views, we returned to dry land for a delicious meal at the Yacht Club. The whole experience was a wave of fun, made even better by great company. #KánoSummerParty #TeamBonding #GoBeyond #PR #KánoCommunications

It’s hoped that Olé Olé will be ringing around Paris in the weeks to come with new research by Nestlé Cereals Ireland, ‘Official Breakfast Partner’ to Paralympics Ireland finding that the song is the most popular go-to chant for over six in 10 Irish adults (66%) followed by the Fields of Athenry (59%) and the classic Tina Turner hit Simply the Best taking bronze (55%). The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) this week reported its six-month figures noting a significant increase in illegal medicine seized in comparison to last year. From January to June 2024, approximately 706,881 dosage units were seized, up from 551,582 in the same period in 2023. The HPRA is appealing to the public to beware of the serious health risks of buying prescription meds online from unauthorised sources. The latest IBM Cost of a Data Breach report finds that the average global cost of a data breach is €4.5 million- a 10% increase on the previous year. Lost business, recovering from breaches, response costs and collateral damage from data breaches all combine to contribute to the hike. In terms of report take-outs, severe or high staffing shortages were found to be a feature of data breaches; 40% of breaches were attributed to data stored across multiple environments and more than one-third of breaches involved shadow data (data stored in unmanaged data sources). The report finds that #AI prevention is paying off with organisations who use AI in its workflows incurring an average of €2.3 million less in breach costs. Further to this, organisations that employed security AI and automation extensively detected and contained an incident, on average, 98 days faster than organisations not using these technologies.
