It was great to be part of such an interesting and engaging project!
We are completing our project VEMAR - Volumetric Video for Enhanced Museum Experiences in AR with our partners studio freisicht and Aargauer Kunsthaus. Volumetric holograms were produced for 3 artists and the director/curator of the art museum in Aarau using Volograms technology. These were integrated into a dedicated AR app by freisicht. Visitors could then test the enhanced experience in the museum via tablets. The director/curator greeted them at the entrance and explained details about the museum. Then at 2 locations artists would appear next to their paintings in AR and talk about their work. Informal feedback was very positive about the engagement and potential. This is #Portal in #MixedReality! I've always been a big fan of Valve corporation Portal games, they have some of the most amazing puzzles to test your brain and a great art direction. So I couldn't resist making a demo experiment with Meta #Quest3! I developed the demo with Unity, the XR Interaction toolkit and the awesome Portals for VR asset from the asset store: https://lnkd.in/dMaqkzWr The mesh of the rooms that is seen across the portals was scanned using #Metascan and then aligned in the app. My animated mesh was captured with Volograms #Volu app and rigged with #Mixamo #Unity #XR #AR #MR #VR #AugmentedReality #Quest #MetaQuest #Experiment #TheCakeIsALie #ForScience
