You want to build your professional network. How can you use informational interviews to get ahead?
I've found informational interviews to be an excellent method for expanding my professional network. When I decided to switch fields a few years ago, these discussions with professionals in my desired industry were super valuable. I believe that the goal of an informational interview is not to ask for a job, but to learn and build relationships. So, always prepare thoughtful questions, listen carefully to the answers, and send a thank you note afterwards.

How can you effectively use active listening in remote work settings?
From my experience, I focus fully on the speaker, avoiding any distractions, and providing feedback. I feel like it's important to validate the speaker's feelings and ideas, ask clarifying questions, and summarize key points to confirm my understanding. Sometimes, I feel a bit anxious and eager to share my ideas. When this happens, I take a deep breath, patiently wait for the other person to finish speaking, and then confirm my understanding of their thoughts before sharing my own.

You need to build better relationships with clients. What software solutions can help you do that?
In my role in Corporate Partnerships, I've discovered the importance of maintaining a strong rapport with corporate donors. My experience with Salesforce CRM has been instrumental in enhancing these relationships. It has allowed us to leverage data to personalize interactions with our corporate partners, significantly improving our relationships.

How can you use podcasts to improve your language listening skills?
Podcasts are a great way to improve and understand spoken language. They help you get used to how native speakers talk, including their speech patterns, tone, accent, and how they pronounce words. If you listen to podcasts often, you'll learn new words and understand different ways of speaking. Also, podcasts cover so many topics, you can find ones you really like, which makes learning more fun.
