I’m an environmental scientist with a great interest on passive rewilding of peatlands. As a Ph.D candidate at Maynooth University, my research is focused on woodland development on post-industrial harvested peatlands using remote sensing (optical and radar) and its implications on biodiversity. Bog woodlands (birch) is dominant and forms part of the woodlands marked for conservation by EU under the Restoration Law.
