Poor Communication

It has been a month since my basement got flooded. It is so hard to get in contact with the adjusters and when you do get on the phone with them, they have an attitude. By far the worst I’ve dealt with. They are neither fast or communicating well. From all the service companies that have come in to clean up the flood, electronics and give quotes for replacing the items, they have all stated that their other customers that have Allstate deal with the same thing. Needless to say, I will be switching companies after we get our payout.

WORST OF THE WORST!!

WORST OF THE WORST!!!
While buying a new car at dealership I was offered to switch to ALLSTATE. I was promised a much better deal than I had with PEMCO at the time, and my premium did go down by $30, but only for a few months, and then it went up by $60.
Then I had a water leak at my house and two water damage certified third party companies confirmed it was a short term damage, whereas Allstate adjuster Nikolas and his manager Ross insisted it was long term and didn’t cover the damage. HORRIBLE COMPANY AND PEOPLE.

Too Sorry To Pay Up or Too Many Lawsuits...

I have filed two claims in the past few years regarding rain damage to my new bamboo floors, and Allstate only make excuses not to pay. They never come out to see for themselves since COVID-19. So, how do they know what's really wrong with your property. They don't. They make guesstimations.
You are in bad hands like the other reviewer stated. We are giving them a hand up. They have been in business since 1931 and scamming all of us. I was told today that, I had to pay 3% of my deductible based on the amount of my coverage which would have been $7,600 if it was due to an hurricane. They changed the process as catastrophic nature occurs. Who has that amount of money on hand? We all are stupid! Yes, I'm calling myself stupid too! Because, we can put our own money in the bank and save it up. $300 over 10 years will become $36,000. Why give it to them? We have to change the narrative. We are throwing our money down the drain.

Best hope your home doesn't sustain any…

Best hope your home doesn't sustain any hail damage because they will claim your home is completely fine. We have two vehicles with hail damage including busted windshields after a baseball sized hail storm, yet Allstate seems to think our roof came out completely fine. It took them almost two full weeks to even have an inspector on site. Meanwhile neighbors all around us are having their roofs replaced while we are getting this kind of response from our insurance company. In our opinion, not only did our roof sustain damage, but you definitely won't be in "good hands" with Allstate. claim 0741409940

Allstate is the worst. I should know I was a customer for 44 years.

After being with Allstate for 44 years (@$264000 in payments), they denied payment for a new roof (@$5000-$8000). Allstate asked if I had water damage inside the home yet. No new roof until your home is ruined inside (my roof is 21 years old). The only claim I ever made in all these years was for water damage to my home which caused mold, Allstate denied payment. On a $3000 repair bill, I had to call the state insurance inspector to get Allstate to pay only $600. Allstate also records every phone call inquiry as a claim so do not call them ever. They NEVER pay and because every inquiry is a claim, the claims do not go off your record for 3 to 5 years, making it unlikely another insurance company will take you without higher costs. Allstate has never paid on a claim EVER until I got the state involved and then I only got 20% back. I have waited the 3 years for my phone call inquiry claims to go off my record. It is time to switch to ANY other insurance company. Allstate is the worst.

First and last time with this company

First time and definitely last time with this company. Contractor been messaging them for more than a week as well as leaving voicemails, so I had to call and ask for a manager and still waiting cause guess what...to actually talk to a manager it usually takes 24 to 48 hours. Hope that I won't have to sue them if they don't take care of my issue. But right now they are just ignoring my contractor and lie to him by letting me know that they will call him back. So unprofessional and as soon as they are done with my claim I will start looking for a better insurance company.

Is it possible to give zero or negative…

Is it possible to give zero or negative stars??
You'll never be in good hands with Allstate. I've been with them 18yrs. I needed a new roof from hail damage, and Allstate denied the claim. I tried to get new insurance and was denied due to "too much hail damage". Every homeowner within 2 blocks and more, has had their roof replaced.
My auto policy jumped from $2256 to $5062 per year. A quick online quote and policy write up with another company, with more coverage, was $1324 per year.
RUN, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER INSURANCE from Allstate, they don't do a thing for you except take your money, while charging more than anyone else.

Wasted time - website error

Just spent 10 minutes going through all the tedious questions to try and get a quick quote on snowmobile insurance coverage, and at the final step got an "we're sorry our website had a technical problem" error page. This is all the indication I need to not do business with them.

Racial denials!

Allstate is purposely denying people of color , in my opinion, claims on their houses. If anyone else that is of color has experienced this - please respond to this review.

Mackenzie betteridge .. wow

I was unlucky enough to have the claims agent mackenzie bettering. I quite literally could not talk to her 1 single time. She never once returned a phone call. Never once did she answer a phone call. This has to have been the worse insurance company I have ever had to deal with.

They used to deal with customers

They used to deal with customers personally through district agents, now your waiting for an answering service in India (Extremely broken english) to document your incident and potentially have someone get back to you about it at their leisure, thanks!!

Inexperienced allstate employees

I've been with alstate in past. But recently resigned for home insurance 2 weeks ago. Been nothing but problems. Who ever took phone application didn't even fill it out on actual application. So now my rate is changing and I have no idea what is covered on my policy. Probably the worst experience I've had with an insurance company ever in my 55 years of life. CALL SOMEONE ELSE. Update May 21 and still no answers from allstate. I still don't know what my yearly rate is. And I still don't know the coverage I have. Run as fast as you can from ALLSTATE

A worst insurance company

A worst insurance company. They will raise your insurance premium unreasonable and if you try to contact them to know why it has raised, they will never answer your concerns. Unethical and not trustworthy. Never recommend this company to anyone.

Horrible service…

None of the reps seemed to actually want to help. Had an issue with with a customer of mine and we tried to edit the start date of their policy. Tried calling to fix it the customer service department would send me to sales to start a new policy. Then sales would transfer me to customer service. That happened a few times with a lengthy hold in between. 3 hours total. When I expressed my frustrations to a sales rep Terrance. He just wanted to express how I must be wrong and he must send me back to customer service. When I explained that had happened already a few times he got an attitude and hung up on me. Lost a customer since 1986. I feel bad for the agent who was on vacation and had to rely on your 24 hour “service”

My car was T-boned by a driver covered…

My car was T-boned by a driver covered by Allstate Auto Insurance. My insurance spoke with witnesses who were there and quickly determined that the other driver was at fault, sped to run a red light, and hit my car. Allstate denied our claim without speaking with the witness. When I begged them to call the witness, they finally relented but said it wouldn't matter and then refused to listen to what the witness had to say. I will never use Allstate and strongly suggest avoiding them at all costs. This is insurance fraud.

Allstate has gone downhill

Allstate has gone downhill. Fast. After posting a net loss of $310 million dollars at the end of 2022. Allstate has resorted to scamming its customers out of their hard earned money to increase profits. Because my wife chose to pay our policy with her debit card and did not use the “ez pay” system. They claim that we owe them for half the policy upfront even though we are attempting to cancel our policy and move on with a reputable insurance company. They claim the only way to make that happen is by calling up the day that the policy renews and canceling that day otherwise they will not prorate us for any overpaid coverage, which is something I’ve never even heard before from a car insurance company! ZERO STARS

Garbage company

Garbage company. They have friendly agents, if you can stomach the 30 min wait, but it's a facade. They do not have any intention of helping you or have any authority to do so. They can only explain where they have increased your policy premiums (which you can already see for yourself), but not why.

I had a simple hail insurance claim last year. I called and got a claim # from them but then was not provided any further service. I finally called them at the end of the year and they simply apologized and moved on like nothing happened, although I had hail damage on my vehicle for the year. At renewal time, I received an INCREASE in my premiums for their lack of service! I called to complain and of course the agent could not do anything about it, but escalated it to a manager who would call me back the next day. NO CALLBACK. Liars.

6 year Allstate history:
Home - 22% arbitrary increase in 2024 premium. 94% over 6 years. No claims.
Auto - 4% increase in 2024 premium. 25% over 6 years. No at-fault claims.

THIS COMPANY HAD ME SIGN UP A NEW…

THIS COMPANY HAD ME SIGN UP A NEW POLICY MY FIRST TIME APPLYING FOR RENTERS INSURANCE IN ADDITION, I HAD A WATER FLOOD IN MY BUILIDING. I SIGN UP FOR RENTERS INSURANCE TO PROTECT MY ASSETS TO DUE TO FLOOD. THEY GOT MY AGE WRONG ON THE POLCIY AND WHEN I CALLED TO GET IT ADDRESSED IN ANY EVENT, THEY GOT RUDE ME ON THE PHONE. I CANCELLED THE WHOLE POLICY
