trustworthy

My experience is that IBK is the most trustworthy online brokerage. The only reason I don't give the 5th star is that i am not a huge fan of their platform. It's not so friendly for not senior traders. Actually a significant amount of (past or present) institutional traders have personal portfolios in this firm.

the best broker for advanced users

the best broker for advanced users.
if you are looking for auto/algo trading experience, there is nothing better than IB's API.

yes, their (old) platform looks like it's from the 80s, but it's damn well functional unlike the other platforms. TOS is good, but schwab is running it to the ground, so just shifted all my accounts here.

Awesome investment platform!

The investment platform and the various clients such as mobile app keep getting better from week to week so it’s good to see that it seems there is massive investment in technology happening. Keep up the great work 👍

Simply the best.

Excellent software. Very good commissions. Fantastic interest rates - non comparable ever! Good support but could be better, some remote staffs are weak, not specialists). In general - best broker worldwide.

False addvertasment

So their new accounts team are amateurs who think they are really important investigators. Yet, while they're creeping up my back asking 100 invasive questions about my income, employer, the employer's business, accounts etc., they have customers who are real PEP/KYC risks. A joke of a company. There are plenty of brokers out there. Don't waste your time with these dinosaurs. They literally stalked my linkedin account )))

this is the worst people and the worst…

this is the worst people and the worst company ever, what about helping new customers to be onboarded, 0 ZERO ZERO help, no empathy to the situation, no feed back, they behave like a robots.

i hate this and i dont recommend to put money in such atmosphere like im feeling here.

0/10 my score

only spent time and money, nothing happy, they stucked in 2008 , no progress

A good platform but they don't reply

A good platform but they don't reply to or ignore Open Web Tickets so due to this only one star, as communication is vital.

I opened a ticket Inquiry #T215104 on 2024/08/29 04:55:34 with them (the only one maybe in the over 3 years I've been with them) and still no response on 2024/09/11.

It's like there's no way to speak with them by any means.

Creepy people. Old technology.

p.s: The nature of their questions violate GDPR. You can bet your bottom they're violating so many EU laws. Why isn't anyone looking into this?

not up to standard !

I joined IBKR 1 yr ago as a customer, it took time to get used to the crowded TWS (Trader Work Station) screen. So decided to go thru some videos at Traders Academy.
Unfortunately the default setup (after downloading) for TWS is horrible and many thigs do not work. for example "Group Links" which is supposed to change the ticker for all screens when you choose a new ticker doesn't work.
Also in Options trading the bid ask prices are denoted in PERCENTAGES which is very weird and as a result I am losing confidence in having IBKR as a trading partner.
Initially IBKR customer service was great, now there are a lot of "dropped calls while talking to someone" which I cannot explain.
In short I feel my time is being wasted !

Interactive Brokers are the best, hands down!

I have been with Interactive Brokers for many years now and they are the best broker I have used, by far.
Their Trader Workstation platform is the best in the industry. It shows everything you need to make a trade, on one page, and gives you the option of configuring that page to suit your individual needs.
I have always found the staff to be very helpful, whatever the issue.
IB also have very comprehensive reports, and if you need a unique report you can often configure one yourself.
IB have some of the most competitive commissions around, which is not the main reason I like them, but helpful.

HKIB with best Customer service

I am using HKIB. The customer service staff is ery helpful. Recently, I call their hotline to ask about money transfer, the CS explained very clearly, When they find a beter solution, they called me back and tole me, it is really surprising me! Exellent service they provide!

It's best to steer clear of them and be cautious about believing anything they say, like avoiding a broken clock. In contrast using a platform like CMX is like relying on a well maintained timepiece always on time and dependable.

Low fees, great & fast customer service, platform could use some improvement

Low fees, great & fast customer service, the platform could use some improvement

I've used few brokers and nothing is as reliable and cheap as IB, easy to buy/short almost any stock.
For a European trader, it offers one of the best EUR/DOLLAR exchange rates+fees

Customer service is great, for what you pay you have fast and good answers, I've been able to solve any problem I've had with them

The platform itself has given me some problems, it has logged me out during the open 1-2 times. You def need to pay extra or get some other software through their APIs

Abusive and unfriendly behavior

The company decided to terminate the relationship with me on short notice with no prior warnings and for no clear reason. "Customer support" refused to discuss the situation (i.e. there was no support from them).

Fabulous trading platform

Fabulous trading platform. Professional content well organized. It may take some time to get used to it. I am sure I only use a fraction of what is available for information, but that changes over the life of an investor. Especially well done is the year-end reporting for the IRS. One can just do a print out and submit it to the accountant. I am with IB now for more than 20 years and have always been happy.

Extremely poor customer service

I have a joint account with Interactive brokers since last 15 years. Recently I lost my spouse her and tired to add my kids as beneficiaries of the account. I spoke to four different customer service agents and still unable to remove her name and add my kids as the account beneficiaries. HORRIBLE EXPERINCE!!! This brokerage house has very poor customer service. I have accounts with CHASE, Fidelity and Etrade and their services are much better. Same situation was reolved just with one phone call.

Overall I'm satisfied with IBKR

Overall I'm satisfied with IBKR, here is what can be improved:
1) Outdated user interface - looks like it came from 90th. Look at M1 how it might look
2) IBKR website - low performance, response time is not acceptable as for 2024 year
3) Support team - an user has to wait several days before he/she gets an answer in his/her ticket. Absolutely not acceptable
