Hot take: if you have an AI team in your company, you’re doing it wrong.  An AI group is actually “a great way to slow down your company,” says Eden Shochat in his latest Partner Perspective. These teams usually focus on what’s interesting or challenging to them, like supply-demand matching, instead of actually solving business problems quickly. Watch the video to learn from the mistakes Facebook made a decade ago in their org structure that significantly impacted their bottom line, understand why AI groups are inefficient, and hear what you should do instead (Windward - we’re looking at you).  And if you have a different take, let us know! Nimrod Kramer Erez Dickman what do you think? Do you have AI teams in daily.dev and Lemonade? Feel free to call Eden out if you disagree ;) More about how to build an AI function into your product teams with the link to Eden’s blog in the comments 👇🏼

Big funding announcement, and it’s a good one! Give it up for Yuval Golan and the wonderful team at Waltz, who raised a $12.5M Series A to finally give foreign investors access to US real estate opportunities. As Yuval says, Waltz “brings Monopoly magic into the real world." If it's unclear why that's such a big deal, Tomer Diari will tell you more in the video. Waltz, we're so pumped to have you in the Aleph family! Read more about Waltz, Yuval and the raise in the press release, linked in the comments 👇🏼 TLV Partners

There’s a hidden cultural icon among us who’s changed the face of consumerism in Israel. Humble, sharp, and completely unflappable (no matter how hard Michael tried), LIOR ESHKOL - the GM of Wolt Israel and soon-to-be part of the global management team - joined us on Invested in a rare interview, to tell the story of Wolt that no one’s ever heard. This is an episode about the Israeli entrepreneurial spirit, about an exceptional team that steps up in a crisis, about what it really means to understand your customer, about how a blue heart emoji from a stranger can bring a moment of peace amidst a war, and about how Wolt became a verb in a country that doesn’t even use the letter ‘W’. Not to call anyone out...but accounting firms need to pick up the pace on their gen-AI integration, ASAP. "The industry needs to buy in and get together around adoption, because you’re facing a major labor shortage and a general reputational challenge,” says Isaac Heller, Co-Founder and CEO of Trullion - the leading AI-powered accounting software - in Bloomberg. Who already committed a billion dollars to transforming how their accountants work, and who's being cautious and falling behind? Read about it in Bloomberg, linked below. Amir B.

“So for the last question–as your venture capitalist and board member–I'd like to ask you how I've hurt you,” Michael Eisenberg asks Matan Bar on the newest episode of Invested. Co-Founder and CEO of Melio, Matan spoke with Michael about everything entrepreneurship–from starting a first company with a questionable name (IYKYK) alongside Ron Gura, Erez Dickman and Maya Bar Gura, to Melio’s humble beginnings as a manual bookkeeping firm and how it grew into a four-billion-dollar B2B payments solution. For a case study in how good storytelling gets you an audience with George W. Bush, what it means to keep small business in business, and some great banter in between - listen 👇 Ilan Atias Tomer Barel
