The report details how Israel's hydrogen sector is backed by advanced academic research, substantial investments, interest from leading local and foreign investors, and government grants - driving factors that have the potential to position Israel as a frontrunner in hydrogen technologies. Highlighted are five key applications of #hydrogen and its significant environmental and economic potential, underscoring hydrogen's role in future #energy systems. 🌟 Celebrating International Women's Day at H2Pro! 🌟 On this International Women's Day, we take a moment to reflect both on the progress made and the journey ahead to achieve gender parity in the energy and high-tech sectors in Israel. The good news: According to the “Women in High-Tech 2024" report (Israel Innovation Authority), the number of women in the high-tech industry in Israel is almost double where it was last decade. The challenge: It’s not enough. This growth rate falls short of meeting the national goals needed to promote a viable and equitable economy. Women still only occupy a third of all tech positions, well below the 43% target set for 2035. The stats in the the energy sector are even more grim. According to Calcalist, women constitute less than 5% of senior managers in the energy industry here, highlighting the pressing need for change. #Diversity, including #genderdiversity, is not merely a buzzword – it's an imperative. A diverse workforce amalgamates varied perspectives, fostering #innovation crucial for driving economic growth and addressing monumental challenges like climate change and clean energy security. At H2Pro, we pride ourselves on creating an exceptional workplace for women. Just got back from the 10th International Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Conference and feeling hopeful and inspired. With a phenomenal turnout of 800 attendees, the conference showcased a collective commitment to advancing clean energy solutions in Israel and our region. It was especially exciting to see Hydrogen play such a central role in discussions. I'm incredibly proud of how far our Israeli hydrogen ecosystem has come in a few short years - we've made it to the main stage, and we're here to stay! I had the honor of representing H2Pro on two panels, delving into the intricacies of Hydrogen Valleys and the creation of off-taker agreements. I also had a productive roundtable discussion with the new Director-General and the supportive team of the Israel Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure - משרד האנרגיה והתשתיות . To address the chicken-and-egg challenge, It is essential for the government to develop policies that promote the growth of production and demand simultaneously and establish a platform for ecosystem collaboration. A heartfelt thanks to the entire team at EilatEilot, with special appreciation for Dorit Davidovich Banet Banet. As she announced this week that she will be stepping down as CEO , we celebrate the enduring impact of her remarkable leadership - transforming the Arava region into a leading green electricity region and an R&D powerhouse for renewable energy technologies and now leading with the Implementing of the first Green Hydrogen hub in Israel. This week, I will participate in the Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy 10th Renewable Energy conference. The objective of this gathering is to empower the clean energy economy as leverage for regional rehabilitation and development in Israel, the Middle East, and worldwide. Initially scheduled to be held in December, the event was postponed due to the war. True to the spirit of Israeli resilience, our friends at Eilat Eilot found a way reorganize and make the event happen only a couple months later. I’m proud to join in solidarity with the clean energy Israeli community to discuss our path forward as a country, and how the shared battle against climate change can continue to bring our region together.  H2Pro will host a booth – so please drop by and say hi! Additionally, I’ll be a speaker on the panel “Hydrogen valleys in Israel – technological and economic feasibility” from 13:45 – 15:00, Wednesday, Feb 28. 🎉✨ Cheers to 5 Years of innovation and growth at H2Pro! 🎈 Last week, H2Pro celebrated our 5th birthday alongside the start of the the new year. We came together for a lively office party that showcased the vibrant spirit of our team, as well as the many accomplishments achieved on our journey to enable affordable #greenhydrogen and make this world a cleaner, brighter place. During the celebration, we took a moment to appreciate the unique talents and eccentricities that make our team extraordinary. Awards were given for everything from the 'best coffee drinker' to the 'loudest employee' - highlighting the camaraderie that defines our workplace. To lift our spirits even more, a talented comedian skillfully roasted everyone in sight. These are challenging times - and it is important to create opportunities to come together, share moments of joy, and stand in solidarity as a community. As we step into the new year, H2Pro extends warm wishes for success, joy, and peace to all. Here's to five incredible years, and to many more ahead!
