Pretty exciting thing to wake up to. Blockaid has been recognized in The Generalist's inaugural Future 50, a database of the world’s highest potential startups. It’s incredible what the team has been able to do and the impact the Blockaid platform has had in just two short years. From defending against more than $100 million in potential losses every month to working with some of the biggest names in web3, it’s been a wild ride already (and we’re just getting started). Many thanks to our investors and customers for your votes of confidence— Lior Simon, Gili Raanan, Hila Zigman, Nadav Hollander, Vaibhav Saini, Dror Avieli, Gal Eldar, Ian Wallis, Jesse Walden, Alana Levin, Zachary Rosen, Nick Shalek, Saam Motamedi, Jason Risch, Shaun Maguire, Danny Hadar, Assaf Jacobi ,Cyberstarts, Variant, Ribbit Capital, Jibe Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Greylock, Coinbase, MetaMask, CoinTracker, OpenSea, and so many more.... And last but not least, thank you to Raz Niv, my best friend and Blockaid's co-founder and CTO for embarking on this journey with me.
I’m so excited to announce the Future 50, a database of extraordinary, high-potential startups. A few companies you'll learn about: 🚚 A trucking company doing $45M ARR 🧬 A biotech building "AWS for biology" 🇯🇵 Japan's answer to OpenAI 📈 A payments company that grew 20x in 18 months ...And many, many more. The Future 50 product of more than 5 months of research and writing. We built it by asking some of the best investors in the world to pick the portfolio companies they believe have true outlier potential. We then studied the companies ourselves, reached out for additional exclusive information, and picked our top 50. Accompanying every company in the Future 50 is a detailed description explaining what they do and why they matter. We’ve also shared a clear rationale of why they stood out to us and were ultimately selected. If you’re a professional investor, angel, or operator looking for your next challenge, the Future 50 is a way to discover 50 exceptional startups with the detail and rigor needed to take action. 500,000 MAU with 5,000,000 significant events. That is value for developers:
How do you measure user value? The way we've been measuring user value on daily.dev is with a custom metric we came up with called "Significant Events" (or sEvents) which reflect high-value interactions like reading and upvoting posts or finding helpful content through search. Since focusing on these type of interactions, we've seen a pretty healthy growth across the board on all core product metrics. We're now reaching nearly 5 million sEvents every month. It's incredibly fulfilling to see this growth because it means the developer on a daily.dev is genuinely finding value that helps them in their professional journey. Each additional sEvent represents another developer getting something valuable from our platform, making the journey even more magical and fulfilling as a founder. To many more ✌️

From vision to reality: Overwolf
⏰ It was this exact day, ten years ago, that I wrote an op-ed on how the role of modders could revolutionize the entire gaming industry. In the last decade we’ve witnessed the UGC movement expand into the mainstream of the gaming ecosystem. Major IP owners like Rockstar, Roblox and Epic Games are now actively welcoming creators to their games, providing monetization for ‘modders’ whilst enhancing their own game longevity and loyalty. At Overwolf, we’ve helped brands like Hasbro launch their iconic Power Rangers IP inside ARK: Survival Ascended through premium mods, and last year we paid out $201M directly to in-game creators. It’s incredible to see how far the UGC revolution has come since 2014, and equally exciting to see what new heights we will reach in the future. A brand new economy for creators and studios of all sizes, alongside limitless entertainment for gamers.
