Government inaction is the biggest hurdle for the cultured meat industry I recently interviewed the CEO of Steakholder Foods..... Arik Kaufman's perspective was eye-opening He argued that for the cultured meat industry to thrive, it needs robust government support 🤝 He said, "We need a state that will say, "Okay, we are looking to secure our food security [...] and reduce the impact on climate." "These companies need a long time period to reach a point to become profitable." "Let's take away all the noise." The popular belief is that the private sector alone can drive innovation in cultured meat But without government backing? The industry faces an uphill battle.
