Another year brings another incredible group attending the SelectUSA Investment Summit organized by SelectUSA Israel and U.S. Commercial Service Israel. Israeli companies learned about the numerous opportunities and collaborations offered by various U.S organizations to support U.S. market entry and business establishment. They networked and met with state representatives to discuss these opportunities. We have no doubt that this summit will yield great ventures and exciting new challenges.

Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate the end of slavery in the U.S. and the freedom of all people. But did you know these interesting facts about this national holiday: •⁠ ⁠In 1862, President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, an order that abolished slavery and proclaimed all slaves were to be set free, but only on June 19,1865, 2.5 years after the proclamation was announced, federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to deliver the news. Since then June 19 became an official day of celebration. •⁠ ⁠Texas was the first state to declare Juneteenth a state holiday in 1980, many states followed Texas' lead in the following years, but only in 2021 president Biden declared Junteenth a federal holiday.
