      1. Improving the electrochemical properties of NMC811 by surface modification of metal fluorides, metal sulphides, metal phosphates and metal oxide etc via wet chemical or atomic layer deposition techniques.
      2. Formulation of novel electrolytes for improved electrochemical performance for layered oxide cathode materials.
      3. Formulation of electrolytes for improved electrochemistry for metal-oxygen batteries.
      4. Synthesis of NMC622 with various precursors supplied by industries, for systematic material and electrochemical evaluation.
      5. Synthesis of argyrodite-based solid-state electrolyte and further material and electrochemical characterization for solid-state batteries.
      6.Electrolyte formulations for improving the electrochemical properties of Li-O2 battery technology.

    • Material procurement through online portal that involve quotation seeking, purchase requisition, purchase/service order and end user verification.
    Project 2: Heavy metal analysis of dietary fibre
    • Thorough elemental analysis of food premixes by Microwave Plasma based Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (MP-AES).

    Product development:
    • Developed 40% Pt/C TICAT, a novel TATA chemicals catalyst. This catalyst is 40% more efficient in oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in contrast to other benchmark commercial catalyst.
    • Invented an ultra-low cost decal substrate for uniform and low catalyst coating over electrode. Performance evaluation has shown 1.6A/cm2 current density with TICAT
    • Developed 1kW, leak proof 80 cell, air cooled open cathode PEM fuel cell stack.
    • Developed 1 kW, leak proof 15 cell, water cooled closed cathode PEM fuel cell stack.
    • Fabricated a Zinc-air battery prototype.

  • Production Cyclic glucan from Bradyrhizobium japonicum: Evalution using Different carbon sources; Scale up

    -

    Cyclic glucan is an essential carbohydrate used for separating various enantiomers as well as the manufacturing of anticancer drugs. Hitherto, no study was done for elavating the growth condition of Bradyrhizobium japonicum which produce cyclic glucan in its periplasmic membrane. In my study, the growth was optimized. Scaling up studies are done on a batch fermentation reactor.
