About

I am Director of the Retail Channel in Inmarsat’s Maritime Business Unit, responsible for supporting business growth through both direct retail end-users and indirect retail partners, while reaching the revenue, GM and market share targets. I play an integral role in developing the retail channel distribution strategy, driving and defining the right internal and external circumstances for effective and successful retail sales, and responsible for managing the quality and effectiveness of the retail sales organization.

The driving force behind professionalising the Retail Channel by driving and defining the right internal and external circumstances for successful and more effective Retail Sales – high quality sales and senior business relationship management, sales enablement, product introductions and sales strategy, customer experience, continuous improvement and providing mentoring and coaching to sales individuals and teams.

I began my career as an officer in the Royal Marines, where I led teams in challenging environments worldwide and on active operations. Later I worked as a Maritime Security Consultant for merchant shipping and offshore installations in the Middle East and West Africa, providing security to vessels transiting high-risk areas, and coordinating maritime counter- piracy operations. Subsequently I took a more entrepreneurial role starting and leading a small business in the renewable energy sector, before opting for a more global corporate role with a market leading company allowing me to follow my passion for Maritime, Defence and Technology.

I graduated with first class honours in Oceanography and Marine Biology from the University of Wales, Bangor, and recently completed an MBA at Cranfield University School of Management.
