The agricultural landscape in Bharat is on the brink of a digital revolution. In the next few years, roughly 120 million farming families will own smartphones, up from 70 million today. BharatAgri's digital advisory platform currently reaches 1.5 million farmers across India, helping them improve crop yield and boost income. In Episode 2 of #BuildersForBharat, Co-founder Siddharth Dialani shares how the startup is seizing the $44 billion agricultural input opportunity in Bharat by helping farmers solve challenges such as: ✅ Identifying the right products for their farms due to a lack of systematic education in agriculture. ✅ Frequent stock-out situations at local shops. It was earlier assumed that only the well-to-do and relatively rich people will be able to use smartphones, digital payments and e-commerce services. However, we saw that with reducing smartphone costs, cheaper internet and convenient UPI options, it has now become a level playing field. Most sections of society now have access to advance information and new age products. Similarly, when we started BharatAgri, it was assumed that only the large farmers will be able to use digital advisory and e-commerce solutions. Small farmers who generally grow rice and wheat will not have access to advance farming information and speciality products. Today, we are happy to share that we are seeing level playing field being developed even here. Due to increased demand even from small-holding farmers, they can now buy paddy seeds from BharatAgri! More products and varieties are being added for them everyday! Access to information and new-age products is being democratised in a way, that it doesn't matter what's your land-size or what crop you grow. #BharatAgri
