The quotes-based 28-day TIIE benchmark is set to be replaced by transactions-based F-TIIE at the end of 2024. However, unlike LIBOR, the 28-day TIIE will not face any index cessation event. Rather it will be published using Banxico’s new methodology for the legacy contracts only.
