Meet Radhe Shyam Adidam, Executive Director and Head of Operations, Tech Partnerships & Monetisation (Ads Business) at Disney+ Hotstar.  Join us as he shares a glimpse of his journey. Why D+ H? “Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by movies, shows, sports, and media. So, when I got the chance to join Disney+ Hotstar, I jumped at it! I was excited to bring my experience from previous roles in four different industries across three continents and reinvent myself in the 'house of the mouse.' Onboarding! The hiring and onboarding process at Disney+ Hotstar was both professional and welcoming. From the initial call, I felt supported. I quickly stepped into my role to lead and stabilize Ad Operations just before the IPL in 2021. Despite my lack of prior experience in the advertising, media, and OTT industry, the cross-functional team was instrumental in helping me get up to speed and hit the ground running. Journey! Disney+ Hotstar feels like a startup within a large media house (Star) and a global entertainment giant (Disney). This unique environment encourages innovation while focusing on scalability. The collaborative culture at Disney+ Hotstar allowed me to explore various aspects of leadership, guiding my teams through diverse initiatives confidently. This experience enabled me to grow from leading Ad Operations to overseeing Operations, Tech Partnerships, and Monetisation Initiatives for the Ads Business. During my three years at Disney+ Hotstar, I also embraced the role of becoming a father to a beautiful baby girl.  Thanks to the conducive culture at Hotstar, its flexible working policies and a rockstar team, I was able to manage both these challenging roles with ease. Of course, thanks to my always supportive wife and family. My work spans the 4Ps - Product, Process, Partnerships, and People. This allows me to toggle between strategy and execution, delivering impact. I am proud to have helped design, develop, launch, and scale various new monetisation initiatives for the Ads business (across Programmatic, Performance, Self Serve etc.), bringing significant value to the organization. Outlook! We're in the middle of a massive disruption in the Indian Digital OTT and Advertising space. Disney+ Hotstar, being such a loved platform in India, is well-positioned to shape the industry's future.
