Fattastic Technologies joined the first two weeks at the MassChallenge Switzerland bootcamp, and it has been a wonderful and inspiring experience. We've had the opportunity to pitch our idea, network with industry experts, VCs, and connect with over 100 innovative startups. Hearing fellow founders' stories is always inspiring. 🌟 Our tours to corporate partners such as dsm-firmenich, Nestlé, Bühler Group, and Givaudan were one-of-a-kind experiences. We had the privilege of engaging with representatives from from Puratos and Südzucker, further enriching our understanding and connections within the industry. The 80 early-stage start-ups selected for the 2024 MassChallenge Switzerland come from 37 countries, spanning five continents, and have all committed to sustainability, pitching innovations in food and agriculture, industry and climate, health, nature solutions, and packaging. Their innovations are diverse, ranging from combining AI with chemistry to reduce environmental impact in animal farming, risk analytics for biodiversity, robots that harvest and de-leaf plants in high-tech greenhouses, technologies that reduce fermentation time, and biobased materials to substitute plastic in packaging, to ingredients made from microalgae to replace additives (E-numbers). 🍧 We had a delicious start to our GROW Asia Food Bowl 5-day Startup Bootcamp this week, with participants enjoying a blind taste test of low GI, diabetic-friendly variants of Kuih Kaswi and Putri Salat. These sweet Malay treats were created by Juliana Rahmad of Uli's Kitchen using cohort startup Nutriient Pte. Ltd.’s proprietary Baked Confectionery Blend sugar substitute.
