At Global Fintech Fest 2024, our co-founder, Sumit Gwalani, will host a panel discussion on "Building Trust and Ensuring Consumer Protection in Digital Lending," featuring esteemed leaders like Shri. Vaibhav Chaturvedi, Chief General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), who plays a pivotal role in shaping country's financial and regulatory framework. Under his leadership, key policy initiatives have been implemented to enhance the sector's resilience and support financial inclusion, making him a prominent and respected figure in the Indian financial landscape. As digital lending advances swiftly, this discussion will focus on building a resilient lending ecosystem in India, emphasising transparency, technology and consumer-centric regulations. Joining us are other industry leaders, including Mr. Harshvardhan Lunia, Founder and CEO of Lendingkart, who has been instrumental in revolutionising SME financing in India with innovative digital lending solutions, and Mr. Vibhav Hathi, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer (CBO) of OneCard, has been pivotal in reshaping India's credit card landscape.

We’re always taking Fi places, and this time, we’re taking it to the digital finance town square – the Global Fintech Fest 2024, happening in Mumbai. We’re taking stage with all the heavy hitters, the digital frontier drivers, and all our contemporaries. We’ll be discussing, shedding light on, finding insights, and pitching new ways to take digital banking to its latest evolutionary avatar.

Money comes in more avatars than all the Wolverines across all the multiverses. It’s somebody’s cry-to-sleep snuggle buddy, someone else’s point of pride, this one person’s emotional support animal, and another’s favourite topic to rant about. Housed at the epicenter of FinTech, we know all too well about money relationships – from the situationships to the LOML type ones. As we try to better everybody’s relationship with money, we asked our folks in the office what the ‘babu’, ‘shona’, ‘baby’, and ‘teddy bear’ of the money world was, for a series we’re calling #noteworthy (get it? ‘note’ worthy???  💸💸💸?!?!?) As the sporting event of the season heats up in Paris, Fi had its very own competition that would go toe to toe with it, with a whole wide range of ONE category - an AI hackathon!🤖 Out of this competitive chaos came out ready-to-launch, AI-powered features built up from scratch that have the potential to add immense velocity to Fi’s moonshot 🪩✨ Stunning talents outshone the super shiny ₹1,00,000 cheque that was addressed to katana enthusiasts from the winning Samur.A.I. team: Auro, Kanishk, Aditya, Sainath, Obed, & Kushal. Congratulations to them and to the betters amongst us who had them pegged to win. While the main quest kept our contestants running on all cylinders, we had *checks list* a coffee brewing workshop, new merch, a pizza party, and oh… a super insightful conversation into how AI is shaping up to form the new world with the director of Google DeepMind, Dr. Manish Gupta. Folks from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Faisal, Ajeet, & Dipta collaborated as enablers par excellence and got their hands grimy as they helped get our best work out there. If we had our voices left after cheering for our favourite teams, we’d muster a bigger shoutout📢 Props to literally every person in this video making Fi’s AI Hackathon a reality. “A.I. A.I. cap’n!”🪝 - imagine all of us at Fi collectively chanting this as Dr. Manish Gupta, director of Google DeepMind, regaled us on all things Generative Artificial Intelligence. A.I. is all the buzz as it shapes up to t̶a̶k̶e̶ m̶y̶ j̶o̶b̶ revolutionise our ways of working. Dr. Manish is one of the folks who’s heralding the A.I. advent and keeping it from being just a buzzword. He engaged in a tete-a-tete with us, or specifically, Sumit Gwalani, who had more questions than he had time to get answers to. During the fireside chat, Dr. Manish spoke about Google’s push for a morally and ethically responsible A.I. that keeps things nice, clean, and inclusive. He spoke of India’s current risk appetite and predicted that our rich set of problems has the potential to bring forth the kind of solutions that’ll have ripple effects spanning across the entire world. It might not be his day job, but Dr. Manish left us all with a sense of awe and cartoonishly sparkly eyed at the incoming paradAIgm shift. No space blanket would’ve helped us get over this bad case of goosebumps. Dr. Manish has all our thanks, but Sumit definitely got the loudest ‘thank you’ in.

Something’s in the air at Fi🫧 Was the carpet cleaning mix a little too strong? Did somebody spritz on too much cologne? Is there a new spicy office romance brewing?💘 While some of these might be true, what’s strongest is the air of COMPETITIVE SPIRIT TRIGGERED BY AN AI HACKATHON WITH ₹1,00,000 UP FOR GRABS!!!🥵 Multiple teams calling themselves SamurAI, Optimize Prime, and others have joined the fray, and they’ve all set their eyes on one thing: t̶h̶e̶ p̶i̶z̶z̶a̶ winning. Things are *heating up* in the lead-up to the winner announcements😮💨 The drama of the competition deserves a teaser trailer, in true-blue cinematic style.
