Dear Kolkata and Kolkatans... 🌉 This is probably the most important message we have shared till the inception of our community, in its enlightening journey of encompassing the city's growth story and its transforming potential. Today, we join in its most crucial chapter. Kolkata IT Hub, Kolkata Calling and SAP Inside Track Kolkata would like to jointly announce that we will be joining the protest march, seeking justice for the late resident doctor, who was assaulted, raped and murdered in the premises of R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital while on duty. We are communities that project the best of the city, its rising ambition and its talent in solving the challenges of innovation. It is only fitting that we rise up for it when it needs us the most, to seek justice for a fellow Kolkatan that we have lost. For a victim, who deserves to be honoured and remembered. Our community members will be joining the protest in person, at multiple locations in the city. Those who are not present in the city at this time, will join in spirit. We have utmost faith in the Indian system of justice and its enforcement, but at times we do need to make ourselves heard for it to listen. Kolkata is not just a City of Joy, but also a City of Resilience. We have all heard stories about the Partition, and the refugee crises of 1971, how this city not only gave people a home but shielded them. She has kept on doing it, but at times she needs a little aid from its citizens. Tilottoma always stood for justice.
