The Durgam Cheruvu Bridge stands as a testament to innovation and technology in modern infrastructure. This is the first extradosed bridge in the state of Telangana and the longest main span extradosed bridge in India. This bridge is one among the top 10 longest main span extradosed bridges as well as the world’s longest main span precast segmental concrete extradosed bridge. The 25.5 m wide span features a unique fish belly bottom–shaped segment, a marvel in design. Connecting Jubilee Hills with Madhapur, this bridge isn’t just functional – it’s a visual masterpiece. L&T's dedication to safety at the Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya has set new benchmarks in construction and pilgrim management. With 12 million safe man-hours, our commitment was recognized with the NSC's Sarvashreshtha Suraksha Puraskar 2023 (India’s topmost safety award - Golden Trophy), British Safety Council’s Five Star rating for Occupational Health & Safety and appreciation from the Prime Minister. By introducing innovative practices like adjustable web slings and vacuum lifters for stone handling—the first of their kind in India—we not only enhanced safety but also improved efficiency throughout the project. Empowering Youth, Shaping Futures On International Youth Day, August 12th, L&T, in collaboration with BHUMI NGO, proudly launched the Skill-Ed program in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This initiative is dedicated to equipping students from economically weaker sections with essential IT and soft skills, enabling them to build promising careers. Hosted at Vallal P T Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker Arts & Science College, the program integrates with college curricula, focusing on final-year students. Over 70 hours of training spread across two months will enhance employability, develop talents, and prepare these young minds for the workforce.
