NITI Aayog organised the 15th NITI Lecture Series on the theme “Clean Energy Deployment in India: Technology, Innovation & Financing” today. Mr. Sumant Sinha, CEO, ReNew and Ms. Anjali Bansal, Founding Partner, Avaana Capital shared the panel for the discussion. Shri Suman Bery, VC, NITI Aayog also addressed the seminar. Under Sampoornata Abhiyan, Aspiring Block Pratappur, Surajpur District, Chhattisgarh organised a Janchaupal in its Gram Panchayat Sakalpur. The 6 indicators covered by Sampoornata Abhiyan and 40 indicators of the Aspiring Blocks Program were explained in detail to the participants of the camp, calling for active community involvement in saturating them. The event also featured an awareness campaign on malnourishment and anaemia that stunts growth in children. 1229 people have been screened and the program aims to screen 30+ people for diabetes, hypertension, TB, and seasonal diseases within the next month. Farmers were informed about subsidies, access to high-quality seeds, crop insurance, and other support programs designed to enhance their agricultural practices and overall livelihood. NITI Aayog today launched 'Pathways and Strategies for Accelerating Growth in Edible Oils Towards the Goal of Atmanirbharta,' a report outlining crucial policy recommendations for regional and national development in the Oilseeds and Edible Oils sector. The report was launched by Shri Suman K Bery, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog in the presence of Prof. Ramesh Chand, Member (Agriculture); Dr.Deepak Pental, SERB - National Science Chair; Shri Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Joint Secretary (Oilseeds), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare; and Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Assistant Director General (Oilseeds & Pulses), ICAR.
