As we honoured the Pride Month through June, we celebrated not just acceptance, but strengthening bonds amongst the community through allyship that empowers us all.   We brought together our people to echo the message of belongingness through various engagements in the month. Each year, we celebrate the achievements of our top field associates through the Novartis CEO Field Awards, hosted at our headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. This award honors the exceptional contribution of our field individuals for excellence in their roles and their unwavering dedication. Pride Month commemorates years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equal justice under the law for the LGBTQI+ community. As part of our commitment to stand up for LGBTQI+ human rights and ensure we have an inclusive workplace that supports our people from the community, we have been: · actively participating in the Stonewall Global Workplace Equality Index to identify actions to address any potential barriers · raising awareness and understanding about LGBTQI+ equity and inclusion within the company · demonstrating active support to the LGBTQI+ community through policy changes, inclusion learning offerings and open dialogue · and connecting and extending our LGBTQI+ community through Employee Resource Groups that are inclusive of allies and parents, with presence in countries and locations where it makes an impact.   AGLOW - the employee resource group from India, is today 100+ strong and is among the most active groups working towards the cause. This group has been steadfast in its commitment, and this year our Novartis Pride campaign builds on last year’s theme of “I belong here” evolving to ‘We belong here’ as we focus on the importance of community and allyship in powering together for change.   As part of the celebrations during the month, we hosted the Pride march and the flag hoisting ceremony at our Hyderabad campus yesterday. Raising the rainbow flag during the month is an important symbol of respect and inclusion of our LGBTQI+ community and marks the start of our celebrations, creating awareness about the situations and experiences of the community in the society and their everyday lives.   Here are a few glimpses from the event.   #PrideAtNovartis #PrideMonth #Diversity #Equity #Inclusivity

Gender equity and inclusion is a continued commitment for us at Novartis. We strongly believe in equal pay for women and men for work of equal value, we are committed to maintain gender balance in management and close the overall pay gap for our people.   In line with this commitment, we recently hosted the SHELeads Celebrating Women in Leadership discussion on "Bridge the Divide: Empowering Gender Equality in the Workforce" at our Novartis Corporate Center in Hyderabad. Improving our environmental footprint contributes to mitigating the impacts of climate change on the planet and on human health.   We are proud to receive the runner-up OPPI India Sustainability Excellence Award 2023-24, a testament to our consistent efforts in improving water sustainability through our projects. The award is given to a company that has made a positive impact on society through innovative sustainable activities. Through our Watershed project which has water at its core and the community at the heart, the project follows a 360 degree mode of sustainability - improving access to water, while also economically empowering the community to sustain their water needs in the future. Through this project we have been able to neutralize 100% of our water consumption in India while impacting over 11,000 lives.   Here are also a few glimpses from the project in Telangana.
