The Executive Committee of Novartis made their first visit to India, together!   Hosting our Novartis CEO Vas Narasimhan and the entire Executive Committee of Novartis (ECN) at the largest Novartis Corporate Center, in Hyderabad, has been nothing short of exhilarating. This visit stands as a testament to our commitment to India as we continue to strengthen by expanding our operations footprint in the country.   The sheer energy of our leaders and associates during this two day visit has been palpable. As India continues to play a pivotal role in our global success, we are proud of our talent whose determination and commitment drives us as we continue to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people’s lives.   #Novartis #VasInIndia #ReimaginingMedicine #IndiaStory

We are thrilled and honoured to receive the corporate award from the Chief Minister of Telangana Shri Revanth Reddy, for Highest Percentage of Women participation at the recently concluded NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2024. The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon is India’s 2nd largest and a signature event of Hyderabad. Participation from Novartis at this marathon has been consistently increasing, and this year we had over 600 associates participating in the marathon. This recognition is a testament to our commitment and the efforts of our Wellbeing Employee Resource Group, bringing together diverse individuals to create a social impact through corporate involvement. We are extremely proud of all the participants. Let's continue to prioritize health and wellness and inspire others to do the same. #HealthAndWellness #EmployeeResourceGroup #WeAreNovartis

A testament to our continued focus on advanced use of data in decision making, we recently concluded the 13th edition of the Annual Statistics Conference Sankhya 2024. The conference presented a unique platform to explore 'The Transformative Power of Statistics' focusing on comprehending how statistics facilitates medical innovation by underlining its critical contribution in risk assessment, communication and thereby driving informed decisions in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Arijit Nag, Hematology and BMT Consultant from TATA Medical Centre, Kolkata delivered the keynote address and shared his insights on “Harnessing the power of statistics in Cancer medicine”. Since its launch in 2011, Sankhya has witnessed significant growth in both participant engagement and number of entries. This year's edition expanded its reach both internally across varied locations and externally, attracting participants from other leading pharmaceutical organizations, including PhD students join in for this 3-day conference. With more than 400 participants and over 74 abstract submissions across lively discussions on topics such as Clinical Development plan, statistical methodologies, data science, interactions with regulatory authorities, real world evidence, metaprogramming, and Health technology assessment, the conference proved to be a massive success. With Sankhya, we aim to shed light on the myriad applications of statistics and its potential to provoke medical revolutions. We're already looking forward to the next edition, where we’ll explore, learn, and collaborate further to continue advancing healthcare with the power of statistics. #Sankhya2024 #StatisticsInMedicine #ReimaginingMedicine #WeAreNovartis

Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July, to recognize and honor the diversity, experiences, and contributions of differently abled people. The month-long observance aims to de-stigmatize disabilities, promote better understanding, and foster an environment of respect and inclusion. In recognition of Disability Pride Month, CapABLE, our Employee Resource Group (ERG), collaborated with Dialogue in the Dark, a social enterprise, to organize a sensory experiential learning event at our Novartis Corporate Center (NOCC) in Hyderabad. The event provided 100+ associates with a unique opportunity in which the participants were immersed in simulated environments, bringing to light the challenges and experiences of differently abled associates, enhancing their understanding and appreciation for the abilities of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and in fostering an inclusive society. It is conversations like these that remind us of the multitude of experiences that make up our world, and how each one contributes to the strength of our community. Together, we believe that everyone has a unique role to play. And Disability Pride Month reminds us of our mission to shape a more accessible and inclusive world – one where every individual, no matter their physical or mental abilities, has the freedom to contribute and succeed. This is what we continue striving for, today and every day. #DisabilityPrideMonth #Inclusion #Diversity #Empowerment #WeAreNovartis

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts are at the core of our business and underscore our purpose of caring and curing. As part of our CSR initiative, we partnered with The Leprosy Mission Trust India, a non-profit organization established in 1874, to help improve the livelihoods of those affected by Leprosy. TLMTI works with people affected by leprosy and other marginalized communities with a focus on sustainable livelihood, community empowerment, advocacy & communication, and research & training. Today, this commitment to providing sustainable livelihoods for those in need has transformed the lives of close to 300 direct beneficiaries overall while also having a ripple effect on their families. For every person who undergoes the livelihood training, at least four family members benefit from their improved incomes. Here are a few images from the various training initiatives that have been organized in the last year. Our commitment to our society remains at the core of what we do, and we aim to help reimagine the lives of people marginalized by these disease burdens. #CorporateSocialResponsibility #WeAreNovartis

In fostering an inclusive environment for all at the workplace, allyship plays a significant role. A few of our people share how allyship has empowered them to centre diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and advocate for their colleagues. Through their work with AGLOW, our employee resource group (ERG), they promote inclusive policies, raise awareness, and create a network of support and understanding for all communities. By championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, our associates are helping to build a workplace where everyone can thrive, innovate, and collaborate, ultimately driving our collective success. #Diversity #Equity #Inclusivity

As we honoured the Pride Month through June, we celebrated not just acceptance, but strengthening bonds amongst the community through allyship that empowers us all.   We brought together our people to echo the message of belongingness through various engagements in the month. From ‘Colours of Pride’, where people expressed their ‘Stories of Belonging’ through vibrant, creative artworks to the voices at ‘Drum Circle’, these events showcased the power of art to raise awareness and foster deeper connections among our teams and the larger community.   This month and beyond, we will continue to work towards fostering dialogue, promoting understanding, and creating an environment where everyone feels like they belong.   #PrideAtNovartis #PrideMonth #Diversity #Equity #Inclusivity

Pride Month commemorates years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equal justice under the law for the LGBTQI+ community. As part of our commitment to stand up for LGBTQI+ human rights and ensure we have an inclusive workplace that supports our people from the community, we have been: · actively participating in the Stonewall Global Workplace Equality Index to identify actions to address any potential barriers · raising awareness and understanding about LGBTQI+ equity and inclusion within the company · demonstrating active support to the LGBTQI+ community through policy changes, inclusion learning offerings and open dialogue · and connecting and extending our LGBTQI+ community through Employee Resource Groups that are inclusive of allies and parents, with presence in countries and locations where it makes an impact.   AGLOW - the employee resource group from India, is today 100+ strong and is among the most active groups working towards the cause. This group has been steadfast in its commitment, and this year our Novartis Pride campaign builds on last year’s theme of “I belong here” evolving to ‘We belong here’ as we focus on the importance of community and allyship in powering together for change.   As part of the celebrations during the month, we hosted the Pride march and the flag hoisting ceremony at our Hyderabad campus yesterday. Raising the rainbow flag during the month is an important symbol of respect and inclusion of our LGBTQI+ community and marks the start of our celebrations, creating awareness about the situations and experiences of the community in the society and their everyday lives.   Here are a few glimpses from the event.   #PrideAtNovartis #PrideMonth #Diversity #Equity #Inclusivity
