Your passionate sharing ignited many minds yesterday at the WINDOW SEAT 💡 Shyamala shared that her leadership is defined by decisiveness, dichotomy, discipline—especially regarding health and well-being—and the ability to discern and draw boundaries. Her role models include the strong women in her inner circle! She believes that effective leaders influence without authority. Shyamala's stories reflected how her resilience stems from both her strengths and vulnerabilities. She emphasized how mentorship and coaching can greatly support leaders and emerging leaders in their journeys. Passion – Dispassion – Compassion has helped her navigate turbulent times: * Passion: Letting your passion drive your actions when things get tough. * Dispassion: Letting go when you have given the situation your best. * Compassion: Caring for yourself and others affected by the situation. Rohit Pathak, the CEO of Birla Copper Hindalco Industries Limited was a at the WINDOW SEAT last Thursday, and what an hour of learning it was for all of us. 🎊 His calm resilience as a leader was contagious! His leadership he shared is defined by sound strategy, empowerment, empathy, directional decisiveness, and calmness. One could clearly sense this listening to his experiences. It is super inspiring to learn from real stories, and Rohit was generous in sharing some of the challenges he faced as a leader. The foundation of his strength in making the right decisions in challenging times comes from his trust in his people and their resourcefulness. He learned leadership from observing his father, working with different organizations during his consultant days, and from Mr. Kumaramangalam Birla’s sense of clarity and humility. He emphasis that he does not overcrowd his calendar so his mind remains open and observant of emerging situations and clear when he needs to step in to make key decisions. Here’s a summary of Rohit’s grounding and powerful closing words that left us in awe: “Leadership is both an opportunity and a responsibility. It is up to us to decide how we want to make it count.
