    3 track and 3 layer microstructure analysis of Maraging Steel This animation represents a multi-track multi-layer microstructure evolution of LPBF process of Maraging steel alloy with grain size distribution, angular chord length distribution (CFD) using AM PravaH. AM PravaH gives the user a detailed data postprocessing and analysis feature, that is a unique feature of AM PravaH. Grain size distribution describes the range and frequency of different grain sizes in a given sample. It provides information about how the sizes of the grains or particles are distributed within the material. Chord length distribution(CLD), describes how the lengths of randomly drawn chords in a particular geometric shape are distributed. Angular CLD, This distribution describes how the length of the chord changes as a function of the subtended angle θ. Essentially, it gives you a way to understand the frequency or probability of finding chords of various lengths when considering different orientations. #additivemanufacturing #engineering

    Non-spherical particle powder bed preparation for LPBF using AM PravaH As the Paanduv Applications team is continuously working on new features in AM PravaH, this simulation video shows Non-spherical powder particles being spread on a bed using a blade spreader to form a powder bed for the LPBF process. The particles include different superquadric shapes. The shape and size of particles significantly affect the powder bed density and the real powder particles are never spherical, so to mimic the process accurately, it is important to consider particle distribution. This feature in AM PravaH will help users simulate their own powder particles to predict the powder bed and ultimately predict the meltpool accurately. #additivemanufacturing #3dprinting #metal3dprinting #lpbf #meltpool #cfd
