I am delighted to announce the formation of the Life Design Foundation: Your Life, Your Design, Our Mission.   The “Life Design Foundation” empowers students at schools and universities, educators, educational institutions, and social impact organizations with the tools and knowledge to apply, teach, research, and explore Life Design principles at scale. Through its initiatives and partnerships, the Foundation will engage various stakeholders so they might embark on the transformative journey to greater well-being—for themselves or their constituents. Going forward, the Foundation will sponsor Life Design Educators, establish fellowships for researching well-being theory, support the creation of Life Design Labs at Universities and High Schools, work with Social impact, and engage with Policymakers and NGOs to disseminate effective curricula, coaching and tools.   We eagerly anticipate your support and participation. Your involvement is not only welcomed but crucial. If you're interested in joining us, please feel free to reach out. We are grateful to Kathy Davies at the Stanford University Life Design Lab, Bill Burnett and @Dave Evans, the authors, and Susan Burnett at DYL Consulting for all their amazing support in my journey of bringing Designing Your Life to this part of the world.

The program “Designing Your Life ( DYL) for Adults” is focused on designing a great, well-designed life and, inside it, a great career. The program “Designing Your Future (DYF) for High Schoolers,” based on the DYL framework ( from Stanford University) is focused on designing the “discovery” process so that students can better understand what a great life for them might look and feel like and what the first few next steps might be. And it’s not just the "discovery of" but also a "process for" ( this discovery) that we delve into. By learning this, the young can “meander” towards discovering and building a great life and an witness an emergent great career/ vocation/ avocation. The multiple pilots of DYF just concluded in India. The lovely pictures and the flattering feedback scores and comments are in! The last few weeks have been truly gratifying. The young souls who attended were open, creative, audacious, dreamy, and inspiring. The frisson of excitement around their possible futures was palpable. They were also vulnerable and ready to express their fulsome appreciation, which made our days and months of prep well worth it. Someone painted me a painting, another a poster, one presented me a book of her poems, and one touched my feet (yikes!)…. some applied to work as interns, and some have volunteered for the Mission DYL in India. One was seen swaying on her chair ( the program content was music to her, she said! omg.). Others expressed in words and smiles. Thank you all. The focus of my endeavours is to design a Mission that might touch the lives of many. In so doing, I have the opportunity to continue designing my life towards more fulfilment and flourishing. And many thanks to the many, many who are enabling this. Years ago, my wife was going for a session of "past life regression."...how could I not go along... A few hours later, thanks to the session, I had come to know that in one of my prominent "past lives", I was a scholar (which I am not now), was handsome (definitely not so in this life!), wore sandals (prefer sneakers), wore a white toga and lived during the peak days of the Roman empire; was single (😊) going around teaching, being a teacher. That was my life's purpose …to teach. Some of that may have carried forward to this life…While most of my journey so far has been of entrepreneurship, I now thoroughly enjoy teaching. So when one wakes up to such posts and knows that at least one person in the class was impacted positively, one is ready for another day, another class…as I design my life forward…teaching is one of the threads I shall pursue.   Thanks, Ahana, for your generous post! ( PS: this course is open to all in a shorter format: check out the link to the brochure: https://lnkd.in/d2-a_n2Q )

I am thrilled to express my sincere appreciation for Professor Navyug Mohnot and the incredible Life Design Lab course he taught this Monsoon Semester at Ashoka University. The experience has been nothing short of transformative, and I wanted to share a few thoughts on the invaluable lessons learned. Our course was adapted from "Designing Your Life" course at Stanford University, and is based on the book "Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life" by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans. Throughout the course, Professor demonstrated an unparalleled passion for the Life Design module, fostering an engaging and intellectually stimulating environment. One aspect I particularly admire about Professor Navyug's teaching style is his ability to make complex concepts accessible. The clarity of explanation and real-world examples (such as the PERMA model, reframing, analysis of the world/work view) not only enhanced my understanding of seemingly complex issues, but also inspired me to explore related topics further. Moreover, the interactive nature of the course encouraged open dialogue and design thinking. Professor Mohnot created a space where students felt comfortable expressing their thoughts, contributing to a rich and diverse learning experience. I am grateful to be a part of the Second Cohort in India to have completed the course. I sincerely thank Professor Mohnot for the support and guidance I received from him, both inside and outside the classroom. His mentorship has been instrumental in my academic growth, and I feel well-prepared to apply the knowledge gained in 'Life Design Lab' to real-world scenarios. Note: A sincere thanks to InfoEdge CfE Ashoka University for never failing to impress me with the great selection of courses! #DesignYourLife #AshokaUniversity #Entrepreneurship
