The Inauguration was a fantastic opportunity to connect with talented professionals and celebrate the launch of this innovative facility. We were truly inspired by the mission of IRMRI and are eager to see the groundbreaking research and advancements that will emerge from this new facility. About us
The department started as "Rubber Technology" in 1988 as a division in Production Technology. It branched out as a individual department in the year 2000. The department of Rubber and Plastics Technology offers a four year B.Tech programme that specialises in Rubber, Plastics and Polymer Technology, a 2 year M.Tech programme in Rubber Technology and a Ph.D programme in the field of Polymer Science and Technology. The RPT department offers the combined knowledge of both rubber and plastics in depth which makes the course unique from the rest. Our graduates will be able to synthesize polymers, Formulate, design, process and test plastic, rubber and polymer products which provides them a competitive edge in the areas of Plastics, Rubbers and Composites Technology
