“To enhance the credibility and acceptance of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), we should focus on involving and recognizing their good work in communities.” – Mr. Albert Peter, Head of CSR at SEIL Energy India Ltd., emphasizes on enhancing the credibility of CBOs and projecting their achievements on national and international forums. At the recent CSR Colloquium hosted by Smile Foundation and Change the Game Academy, experts discussed innovative approaches to strengthen grassroots initiatives, highlighting the role of grassroots organizations in community-led development. Smile Foundation’s Empowering Grassroots (EG) initiative, in partnership with Change the Game Academy since 2007, focuses on building CBO capacities through training and match funding. Acts of kindness create an endless ripple that comes back to you. More than 1100 employees of Wells Fargo from Bangalore and Hyderabad engaged in book-making and greeting card-making activities for our children, as part of their Community Impact Week 2024. These heartfelt gestures not only brought joy but also motivated our children, making them feel valued and cherished. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Wells Fargo team for their support and spreading so many smiles. #ShikshaNaRuke #EmployeeEngagement

1. Needs assessment 2. A strong team 3. Communication These are the three key recommendations by Mr. Nirbhay Lumde (Senior Vice President - ESG & Sustainability, Prestige Group) for every NGO and/or Community Based Organization. (Excerpts from the CSR Colloquium, hosted by Smile Foundation and Change the Game Academy) Grassroots organizations, with their deep community understanding, have long driven local initiatives. As larger Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), we bridge corporates and communities through our expertise and government connections. Smile Foundation’s Empowering Grassroots (EG) initiative builds CBO capacities through training and match funding, rooted in our global partnership with Change the Game Academy since 2007.
