My suggestion is to focus on few companies and understand the business fundamentals of the company. Evaluate the reports yourself or by someone experienced, trustworthy who has competency to read between the lines.

Much has been already commented. What I am going add here is for products with longer Developement cycle, using concurrent lifecycle management methodology of agile could ensure that you inbuilt the agility at the design stage itself. Progressive incorporation of requirements is possible if you are in agile product development. In case of software sprint milestones are used but for broader perspective as said above, use flexible design developments.

Fintech strategy is absolutely necessary for executive management for long term investment, direction of business, geographical expansions and staying near the core. With so much volatility in the geopolitical space, disruptions due to regional conflicts, political situations, change in the ESG paradigm, the risk has gone up for businesses. Executive management needs to have strategy ready for plan A, B, C all the time to navigate through these challenges. Digital transformation, cost management, product management is integral part of Fintech strategy..

ZBB is very basic method and requires extensive knowledge and resource for creating it. It’s the best way to have guiding base for cost management and specially for negotiations with 3rd party. Other way and quicker method is should cost modeling which is more suitable and inclusive of market situation demand -supply consideration.

In short term historical data or trend analysis is the best gauge for assuming which direction the commodity prices going. Longer term, individual needs to do symptomatic perceptive analysis where the growth or down trend is going to happen. In most of the cases, commodity prices are governed by reactive investors, but these are not long terms trends. Micro, Macroeconomic indicators to be looked at vis a vis money availability of any segment of business then forecast for future. For example, it was known 10 years ago that Real state in China was over supplied and would go through decline rapidly at some time. Many of us might have visited the country and might have seen these empty building decades ago, so we can't say, we didn't know it.
