How do you build trust and credibility with an audience that has contrasting values and beliefs?
Being a lawyer, I firmly believe that bridging the gap between differing values is not just an exercise in rhetoric, but a critical skill in the practice of law and in everyday life. Understanding your audience's core beliefs and values is foundational, especially in a field where the stakes are often high, and the outcomes can significantly impact people's lives. As a lawyer, I've often found myself standing at the intersection of conflicting values, where the challenge isn't just to argue a point but to bridge the gap between differing beliefs and perspectives. As a woman in the legal profession, I've learned that bridging these value gaps also requires empathy. I believe it's not just a skill infect a necessity. Thank You!
