There is no end to what you can do with programming languages and how much you can learn. As you learn more and more programming languages you will also learn that they are used in different areas of software. For example R is primarily used for statistical computing and graphics, while Python is a versatile programming language commonly used for various purposes, including web development, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and scientific research. C and C++ are programming languages commonly used for system-level development, embedded systems, game development, and high-performance applications.

Since you will be choosing one of the most popular programming languages, of course the prospects will be good. From both ease of learning and career prospects wise Python will be a good language to choose. It is okay to choose multiple languages at the start of you career. It would be good to start with Python, complete one project in it and then move onto Java. I would even suggest to have a short term goal of learning 2 more languages so a total of 4 languages in 2 years. And a long term goal of say 4-6 years should be to learn 8 languages in total. For the short term goal the next two languages should be JavaScript and C#. And for the long term goal the next 4 languages should be C/C++, Go, Rust and R.

Learning style and resources is an important thing to consider when you set out to learn one or more programming languages. Whichever language you choose, I think in today’s world you will get the resources that you need for any kind of learning approach. There will definitely be videos available for the language. Obviously you will be choosing the languages which are popular, so there won’t be a dearth of videos available. Good resources are YouTube and Udemy.com. If you like to projects then the courses in Udemy will provide code of the projects built in the courses which you can refer to and tweak and build your own version if applications. Many YouTube playlist courses also make these available.

In an interview, you can highlight the project management methodologies that you used in any project. Also, you need to prepare a few points about that methodology to describe how you used it in the project. The interviewer can probe you about a few points on the methodology and you need to be prepared to answer those questions.
