What are some ways to gain social impact experience before entering the workforce?
I worked in corporate for the initial part of my career where I joined the CSR team and gained insights into the real world problems through NGO partners we worked with. However it was only when I chose to work in full blown capacity with a large NGO that I truly understood the challenges and real grass root issues. While volunteering is great, it gives you a fairly distant view of things and it entirely depends on you and the organisation as to what kind of depth you are being exposed to....working full time gives a different orientation all together. Today I run a social impact organisation and I feel well rounded in my exposure to both business and social side of things
