I was part of the IPMS Technology Leadership Team, a global Team responsible for all of Clarivate's IPMS products. My responsibilities were the following.

- Technology Lead for Foundation IP, a leading IPMS product. My focus areas were high-performing Teams, recruitment, risk management, revenue growth, technology migrations, and continuous improvement. I realigned the Team according to business objectives, worked with the Team leadership to reset the estimation and planning process, and established a clean-as-you-code practice.

- Responsible for the authentication and authorization service of another IPMS suite and some internal products and processes.

- Recruitment, skill development, career guidance, and delivery management of India-based developers in Inprotech (an IPMS product).

- I led an IP Technology working group to improve the monitoring of Production environments (Datadog, SLOs, Monitors, PowerBI). I contributed to a working group to improve quarterly planning and estimation. I reported Engineering metrics related to Git pull requests across IP Technology to understand gaps and improve cycle time. Show less

I was responsible for managing and supporting the delivery needs of technology teams in IPG India. IPG is the Intellectual Property Group at Clarivate. I contributed to development practices and technical communities. I also influenced technology-wide initiatives such as cloud-native assessment, defense-in-depth security practices, and enterprise release management.

Head of 3Pillar Engineering in the Noida delivery center. I led a team of Directors, and Managers to serve an Engineering department of nearly 300 Engineers. My major work at the time included the following:

- Establishing software quality metrics across the Engineering organization, periodic assessments within engagements and presentations to clients to plan for quality improvements. This led to a 2x improvement in product maintainability across 75% of the client engagements, and introduction of security testing as part of continuous integration.

- Educating the Engineering organization in Noida on standards of excellence in culture, skill and discipline. Reinforcing the learning through team member awards and promotions helped the organization recognize and reward top performers. This also led managers to be 'purposeful', than 'popular'.

- Leading large scale programs involving up to 25% of the Engineering organization strength to increase skills of team members. The largest initiative was to support QA Manual to add QA automation skills. There was a 75% increase in QA automation in little over two years. Even more importantly, this led to a strong culture of automation in QA.

Led the delivery of green field products built with different technology stacks. For the most part, the stack was Ruby on Rails, and a long tail of PHP frameworks such as Symphony, Cake PHP and Zend. This experience gave me a good understanding of rapid prototyping and delivery on a tight budget (budgets were tight because of the 2008 economic crisis).

A mix of programming and testing experience with C, Unices, (object oriented) Perl and shell scripts for an intrusion detection system, that consisted of
- Open source Snort for intrusion detection.
- VMWare for virtualization and virtual networking. The build matrix consisted of 11 Unices from Sun Solaris (Sparc), Free/Open/Net BSD, and different Linux distributions.
