I have over 35 years experience. My expertise is in materials, innovation, teardown and benchmarking, knowledge management, value engineering and prototyping. I have excellent communication skills and have given talks in India and abroad.

I have one patent in my name and few others are pending.

My latest innovation is a concept green engine which would give kinetic energy and will emit nitrogen, oxygen and water vapour as exhaust by-products. This engine will eliminate our pollution and global warming problems forever. Please see the Accomplishment section for further details.

I was actively involved in development of many TATA brand cars and CVs.

After retirement I successfully completed two projects to make a Fortune 500 USA based company's products cost competitive. For details see my resume and presentation.

I take up consultancy projects in the areas of my expertise.

Specialties: I am regarded as a problem solver and design troubleshooter. I have offered a number of cost effective solutions in automotive designs. I was actively involved in automobile development from concept to launch.

      I have completed a benchmarking and value engineering project for a Fortune 500 US company in China. I stayed in a remote city called Jiamusi in North China for about 2 months. The project was executed by an engineering and IT company in TATA Group for which I am a consultant. This was second such project for the same client company. I was benchmarking leader in both projects. The great achievement was that while first project got "Best Project Award" in TATA company in 2010, the project in China was awarded "Best Project Award" by the client company! I am thrilled by this continued success where I hae played a significant role. Besides this the experience was great for me. The highlights were:

      • Work was enormous and challenging
      • Client company is a huge multinational and leader in their line of business. They have operations in some 140 countries.
      • US client, Chinese product, project execution by Indian company
      • The conditions were very trying. Jiamusi was extremely cold--temperatures touching -35 deg C at times.
      • Communication was a great challenge as almost none of our Chinese counterparts knew English
      • Teamwork demanded cross-cultural team members
      • Products for benchmarking were new to us and huge in size
      • Time frame was limited--three months
      • It was a win-win-win situation—for the client, for the service provider and for me too

      So not only we proved our worth but excelled in the job.

      The client company invited me to take a 2-day training on teardown and benchmarking in USA. It was overwhelmingly successful. Team led by me has been asked to do more projects in China and USA.

  • A Green Engine Concept--Need of the Hour

    A totally green engine has been conceptualized by me using dissociation of ammonium nitrate. The engine will give kinetic energy without combustion and the exhaust by-products will be nitrogen, oxygen and water vapour. Thus the engine would eliminate pollution as well as global warming problems in one stroke.
