    After coming across the innovation on Low Cost Sanitary Napkin Machine by Dr Arunachalam Muruganantham in 2009, we built on the idea to scale his innovation and make it reachable to rural-women across the country.

    This social business idea was taken to IIM A, ISB and Haas School of Business, USA over a period of 6 months that led to several Social-Venture capitalists showing keen interest in Dr Arunachalam Muruganantham's innovation.

    After coming across the innovation on Low Cost Sanitary Napkin Machine by Dr Arunachalam Muruganantham in 2009, we built on the idea to scale his innovation and make it reachable to rural-women across the country.

    This social business idea was taken to IIM A, ISB and Haas School of Business, USA over a period of 6 months that led to several Social-Venture capitalists showing keen interest in Dr Arunachalam Muruganantham's innovation.

    Apart from working on ideas to scale his model, we also successfully implemented one of his units for a group of women in Karjat, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, that was inaugurated by @Dr. Arunachalam Muruganantham himself - delivering his first hand training to the Women SHG chosen.

    Working with Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM), Karjat, Maharashtra, an NGO supported by Gov't of Maharashtra, we enabled the following:
    1. Women Self-Help-Group (SHG) to get loan from the government to set-up the manufacturing unit,
    2. Launch of a new brand of low-cost sanitary napkins titled “Sakhi” targeting over 6000 rural women. 3. SHG women to sell these pads to stores - acquiring shelf space in 2 retail outlets to drive sales
    4. On the job training for SHG women to reach other women and "Educate them on Menstrual hygiene" at schools, colleges and hospitals (linking this to promoting sales of their sanitary napkin)
