What do you do if you need to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality in recruiting?
When the deadlines are tight and / or resources are limited (time is one of the most critical resources), always focus on: - making people accountable for processes within the talent supply chain of the org - Quality control is critical, but maker checker at each step sometimes can slow down the entire process - Book placeholders with HMs, we never make valid notes of the time lost due to HM unavailability - For niche skills, its important to agree with the HM on considerable talent (backup talent if the exact candidate profile is hard to find) Communicate promptly. if need be find a loud speaker to make noise and each time you speak, do talk about the entire team's role in the process and how the process will fail if one person fails

What do you do if you're struggling to find a suitable mentor in Business Development?
In my experience, finding mentor comes only when you know what sort of mentee you are. The answer for this lies in The Great Mahabharata You are either Arjuna, who practically shadowed his mentor, followed him to the "T" and showed the highest order of respect for the mentor. Undoubtedly one of the best mentees. Or you are Eklavya, who could not be with the mentor, but observed him, learnt from a distance and did not leave a chance to make use of what the mentor was already preaching. So bright that even the mentor felt he may beat his best student. Find out what sort of mentoring suits you and then approach people you want to mentor you. Be open in your request and thank them publicly. Often Gratitude is the best payback!
