What do you do if your employees are not engaged and need support for growth and development?
I’ve often seen that “closed loops” serve as strong motivators, and personal acknowledgement sprinkled with public showing-off of skills, behaviours & impact do wonders to promote growth. Employees today (even managers) don’t seem to hold “loyalty” and “work culture” in as much high regard as accelerated gratification and validation. Create micro-goals (wrt time & skills) within your teams - not necessarily directly related to business outcomes. ^ Individual growth accomplishment - check Validation from peers - check Progressively include newer up-skilling needs within the micro-goals that serve common purpose and business growth. ^ Motivations for growth - check Validation from outcomes - check feeling of contribution to purpose - check

How can you set realistic career goals with coaching and mentoring assessment tools?
I haven’t understood my career goals at any point in my career, apart from: 1. find a resourceful mentor 2. employ your skills to the fullest and look for up-skilling opportunities Assessing your ABCs (values you will not compromise on) & XYZs (good to haves that you are willing to compromise on towards immediate growth) - in self-introspection and with a mentor / coach - this i would indicate are critical
