The sheer joie de vivre, the adrenaline which emanates from being able to even attempt to inspire, the magic of being on stage or on camera, the energetic vibe of a receptive audience, the love for what one does..... There is no dearth of reasons for a motivational speaker to be self propelled and utterly inspired!

In some ways this is the single most important key to touching people's hearts in your speaking career. Stories and anecdotes must be authentic, humane and must be recounted straight from the heart. Stories of family, close friends, teachers et al are more relatable than most professional stories but those are insightful as well...

The best way to connect with your audience is to be yourself and speak from the heart. Shun artificiality. Do not put on a veneer of pretence. What comes from the heart goes into the heart! Anecdotes and stories coupled with personal examples add an even more powerful human element which makes a direct impact upon the audience!

I don't think there's anyone on the planet who doesn't have motivational skills. Everyone can self-propel himself or herself. And by dint of this fact they can inspire others around them It is not so much about what we say as motivators, but what we are! What matters is the vibe, the unsaid aura, the magnetism. Of course, motivational speakers who have the gift of the gab and are born orators, can truly mesmerise their audiences and create deep impacts. But oratorical skills can be honed and upskilled as well. One can emerge as an awesome motivational speaker years after a so so beginning. I myself have been lucky to have had some skills from my commencement as a speaker but I am sure that I have gotten better every day! Hopefully:)

No speaker can afford to copy paste his or her speeches, so to say! Customized content with a suitably tailored delivery style is the only way to ensure that the desired impact is made according to the requirements of the audience. As a regular speaker I attune myself mentally while simultaneously ensuring that my content is as perfect as possible in keeping with the demands of the organisation and the eco system in which I am to speak. At the end of the day, the quality of the speaker matters, but that quality has to be ingrained by the audience as well...

Whenever I speak on stage or online I seek to create and impact deep into the minds and hearts of my audience. There is no point in going through the motions. Whatever we say from the heart goes straight into the listener's heart. Self reflection or introspection may indeed result from an inspirational, moving or knowledge permeated speech. When a speaker makes his or her audience reflect on the course of their lives or careers, and when they seek to change for the better, the speaker has emerged triumphant, even though he may scarcely know it!
