The product for Hardware Modelling was a smart cane for blind which detects and characterizes obstacle attached to a braille based e-book reader. The cane used multiple SONAR sensors which which align themselves parallel to ground for better functioning. We made a working model of a small scale braille reader which had a mechanical design of consequent rings with each rings having all the characters extruded. The rings were covered by a casing which had slits working as window which displayed the required character.The rings had capacitive touch and it rotated after a few seconds when a particular character had been felt.We employed four rings,thus we could display four characters at a time.The reader just had to slip his fingers through the… Show more

We made a stereotype of a product which sensed the medical emergencies of the wearer,mostly targeted on the old and disabled people,based on its deviation from normal pattern of pulse and blood pressure.The stand out factor which distinguished it from similar existing products was its cost which was estimated to be less than Rs.1000 and the cost go even down on mass production.
