How can you identify the root cause of a problem?
First, there's no formula to this, like there isn't one, to any matter in life. Don't fall for tools and labels like tiger bone and fish bone, blah! The important matter is you understand the definition of a problem. It's simple. It's the cause to the symptoms which may make you think, they are the problem. They are not. Look for the symptoms, their nature and simply keep asking 'why', 'what' or 'how' or 'when' till you reach an 'aha' moment. That's when you'll know, and you'll cultivate your instinct this way, the problem. Another concept to keep in mind is numbers, or 'outcomes' that are suffering, are not problems. They are symptoms. Look for what's behind, or could be behind them. Be a detective, and a doctor. Look for clues. Diagnose.
