Team Overview
KKR’s Fund Valuation oversees the Deal Valuations and their impact on Funds’ performance in private market side of business. The team is responsible for various LP & GP reporting summarizing the performance of underlying portfolios & catering to investor queries. The team plays a key role in investor reporting as they publish the investor valuation summary reports on earnings.
Position Summary
This role is responsible to work with deal team & various fund controllership teams to arrive at deal & fund valuations accurately and timely. This entails efficient review & preparation of various deliverables under GP and LP performance reporting.
Roles & Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
Validate the deal valuations submitted by deal team & prepare value summaries for valuation committee meetings
Maintain and reconcile quarterly cash flow activities
Validate MOICs & IRRs both gross and net of fees for various flagship & co-invest funds under multiple private market strategies
Prepare internal performance schedules including periodic change ins, MOIC schedules that are utilized by various reporting teams & senior management
Support in valuation review of monthly KSUITE products leveraging workflow tools like Chronograph
Validate the investor reporting before the publish on earnings and working on any notable breaks
Participate in weekly group meetings. Present/escalate issues as necessary, provide updates on existing workflows and suggest ideas for process improvement/efficiencies
Maintaining investment valuation related static data on various platforms and trackers
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with teams, such as Deal Team, Fund Controllership and Balance Sheet, to ensure latest updates are captured in the valuations
Coordinate with client servicing team in addressing investor queries
Reporting & Governance
Perform analysis/reporting of quarterly and monthly MOIC & value submission buy deal teams
Record/Validate the roll over impact of deal performance and other Non-Portfolio items on fund performance & investor reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Qualified CFA is an added advantage.
1-4 years of experience in similar role
Understanding of business processes for Finance function
Experience in preparing regular performance reports, cash flows, and balance sheets
Proficiency in financial reporting software and systems, such as Investran etc.
Ability to manage large amounts of data accurately and efficiently
Ability to perform complex financial analysis
Ability to understand valuation guidelines & models
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
