Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a Central University under the Ministry of Railways, is envisaged to be India’s first rail and transportation University in India. Through industry collaborations, especially with Indian Railways, a unique experiential lab environment is envisioned to be created for those who teach and study at GSV. In being specifically established to create a resource pool of the best-in-class professionals for the railway and transportation sector, GSV aspires to be a leader in transportation-focused applied education, training and research, creating graduates and postgraduates who are uniquely qualified to pursue and excel in careers in railways as well as all other transportation-related industries. The University was established in 2018 as National Rail & Transportation Institute as a Deemed to be University under De Novo category and upgraded to a Central University as GSV in 2022.
The University offers multi-disciplinary programs designed to cater to the needs of India’s transportation sector. The Institute follows a demand-driven curriculum while aligning with industry priorities. To ensure best-in-class delivery of education, it aims to provide a highly experiential and unique inter-disciplinary pedagogy incorporating the latest technologies, i.e., live classrooms and online programs delivered by high-quality faculty with global exposure.

It was wonderful to participate in the panel discussion on "The Future of Supply Chain and Logistics - Now is the time for torch bearers of the future to step up” at 13th Edition of India Warehousing Show (IWS), on 11th July 2024 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.
