Format: OnlineThis webinar will provide an overview of the Women in IT Networking at SC (WINS) program. WINS funds 5-8 candidates in their early- to mid-career to join the SCinet volunteer workforce, and build the fastest temporary network in the world. Beyond the technical experience they gain through this program, awardees enter into an alumni and support network that provides community and mentorship that continues well beyond the boundaries of the program.
In nearly 10 years of operation, WINS has adapted to the changing needs of the modern workforce, and is set to enter into a new era that will address the core problem of diversity, skill development, and increased participation and retention within technology fields. In 2024, management of the WINS program was moved to Indiana University as part of this sustainability and growth initiative WINS emphasizes reaching out to under-represented groups: members of TCUs, MSIs, and HBCUs have all applied, and many have participated since 2015. WINS is excited to announce that applications open December 2, 2024 and that we are accepting applications from domestic and international participants.
