Many fun events take place in this area throughout the year including our fall music festival, Hullabloo. Students love to eat lunch and study at the many tables available here.

7. CHICANO LEGACY 40 AÑOS MURAL

This 17’ x 54’ mosaic mural, which is made up of thousands of colored glass pieces, was unveiled in 2011.

The Career Services Center helps students discover exciting internship, research and job opportunities, both on and off campus.

At the center of campus, this path is the main walkway to Geisel Library and hosts student organizations, vendor fairs, and more throughout the year.

3. MANDEVILLE CENTER

Mandeville Center contains the Mandeville Art Gallery, a 700+ seat auditorium for student performances including the annual Muir Musical, as well as several art-making spaces where students can engage in painting, drawling, sculpting and woodworking.

4. ORIGINAL STUDENT CENTER

This center is home to many of our supportive spaces, including the Black Resource Center, Women’s Center, and the LGBT Resource Center. This area also offers shops and great eateries, like Taco Villa and Blue Pepper.

5. MAIN GYM

Main Gym is one of several athletics facilities on campus. This gym is a 115’ x 100’ space used for basketball, volleyball, martial arts, dance and exercise activities, as well as lectures, concerts and exhibitions.

6. SUN GOD (1983) - Stuart Collection

Named in honor of the Theodor Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss), Geisel Library is ranked among the nation’s top 25 public academic libraries.

10. FALLEN STAR (2012) - Stuart Collection

This piece explores the notions of home, cultural displacement and the perception of space. Tours are currently not open to the public.

11. SNAKE PATH (1992) - Stuart Collection

Snake Path is a “living and breathing” artwork that resembles a snake shedding its skin as old tiles are replaced with new tiles of different colors every time one breaks.

12. PRICE CENTER

UC San Diego’s student union, which houses the bookstore, student government office, a theatre, food court and many other amenities for students to unwind and enjoy.

Sun God was the first art piece commissioned by the Stuart Collection. The piece inspired UC San Diego’s annual Sun God music festival.

The beautiful architecture of Safdie Rabines features stunning views: Allow yourself to be surrounded by impressive, award-winning architecture and panoramic ocean views.

C. RADY SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

Revelle College dining hall, serving burgers, salads and more.

Using real-time atmospheric readings, this Stuart Collection piece creates unique music based on the wind and weather.

Tony Award-winning facility that hosts theatre and dance shows year-round.

K. LA JOLLA VISTA VIEW (1988) - Stuart Collection

The largest gym on campus, with four floors of weight rooms, playing courts and nap pods.

This piece pairs gorgeous views of La Jolla with a glimpse of the city’s past.

Established in 1985, this center is now a leader in data-intensive computing and cyberinfrastructure.

M. FRANKLIN ANTONIO HALL

Franklin Antonio Hall is designed to facilitate cross-discipline collaborations that are critical for solving the toughest health, energy, autonomy, security, communications, and materials challenges facing society.

N. WARREN BEAR - Stuart Collection

Designed by artist Tim Hawkins, Bear stands more than 23 feet tall. It is made up of eight large granite stones and weighs 180 tons.

HDSI builds on the university’s strengths of multidisciplinary collaboration and data science to provide researchers across the campus a powerful engine to incorporate data science into their respective disciplines.

P. CENTRAL CAMPUS TROLLEY

UC San Diego Central Campus station is a San Diego Trolley station located in the UC San Diego campus. The elevated station is located within the Pepper Canyon Living & Learning Community, with student housing to the west and east.

Q. EPSTEIN FAMILY AMPHITHEATER

This piece resembles the United Kingdom’s Stonehenge.

Designed with entertainers of the highest caliber in mind, the Epstein Family Amphitheater is a venue for performing arts, featuring local and international talent in everything from large-scale rock concerts to classical quartets and theatrical dance.
