Questo sistema subacqueo aprirà nuove frontiere nell'esplorazione e nel monitoraggio degli abissi marini, per fornire preziose informazioni circa il volume d’acqua ed i fondali. Our subsidiary VARD will provide design and equipment to Cochin Shipyard Limited for the building of two Service Operation Vessels (SOVs), one based on VARD 4 07 and one based on VARD 4 19 design for North Star. The first hybrid electric SOV is of VARD 4 07 design and is tailored to meet North Star’s specific requirements. The focus has been to develop a competitive and compact vessel with a fuel-efficient configuration providing high operability. The second is of VARD 4 19 design and is very similar to vessels formerly delivered to North Star from VARD. Both vessels will be equipped with an extensive SeaQ system package from Vard Electro, which can be perfectly adapted to a wide variety of ships and operational needs in the offshore power segment, confirming VARD's position as a reliable and trusted partner of advanced maritime technologies, which, every day, we are proud to bring on board. #Fincantieri #FutureOnBoard #VARD #Innovation #Digital

We are talking about the KV Jan Mayen, delivered in 2022, the KV Bjørnøya, delivered in 2023, and the KV Hopen, delivered in 2024, part of one of Norway's largest maritime acquisitions ever. The units are designed to operate in the demanding far north with advanced technology that today's defense requires, thus representing a milestone for the Norwegian maritime narrative.
